Portfolio Insights: November 2025 Performance Review

Welcome to Portfolio Insights, your monthly performance overview of our Classic and Smart portfolios.
Quantlake portfolios reflected a cautious market in November, with most Classic strategies stable and Smart portfolios showing greater volatility. Both short-term and YTD results provide insight into portfolio resilience and positioning.
Classic portfolios showed resilience over the past 30 days, with most strategies closely tracking or modestly underperforming their benchmarks. The Aggressive and Sharia Compliant portfolios both declined -0.3%, in line with the AOA benchmark’s -0.4%. The All Weather-Inspired, Conservative, and Moderate portfolios held steady at 0%, demonstrating short-term stability. Notably, the Global Buffett-Inspired portfolio, despite a -0.5% monthly return, remains a YTD leader at 19.6%, outpacing the S&P 500’s 17.6%. The Global 80/20 portfolio, down -0.7% for the month, also maintains strong YTD performance at 18.2%. This contrast highlights the durability of growth-oriented allocations despite recent softness.

Smart portfolios experienced wider dispersion. Aggressive Plus and US Leverage Growth posted the largest declines at -3.9% and -3.2% respectively, yet both remain among the top YTD performers, with 22.4% and 23.5%. Dividend Focus was a notable outlier, gaining 1.0% for the month and contributing to a solid 12.9% YTD. Conservative Plus advanced 0.4% in November, though its YTD return of 2.2% lags more growth-oriented peers. Several Smart portfolios with strong YTD records, such as Innovation Ventures (19.6% YTD, -1.2% monthly), also saw short-term pullbacks, underscoring the month’s risk-off tone. Overall, Smart strategies continue to offer differentiated exposures, with some short-term volatility but robust long-term results.

Takeaways
Recent performance highlights the value of diversification and disciplined strategy. While November saw modest declines or stability across most portfolios, strong YTD results for several strategies reinforce their long-term positioning. Quantlake remains focused on maintaining balanced exposures across market cycles.
