Oil Surges: ETF Movers — Monday 13 Apr 2026
Risk appetite strengthened Monday, with technology leading the equity complex as XLK rose 2.10% and IYW gained 1.89%, while defensive sectors lagged with XLU down 1.21% and XLP off 1.00%. In fixed income, preferreds and EM sovereign debt outperformed, with PFF up 0.65% and EMB adding 0.55%. Commodities also skewed toward growth-sensitive exposures, as oil and copper advanced sharply while silver and gold moved lower.
